Industry
in Triesen is overshadowed to some extent by it's larger neighbour - Vaduz.
This is surprising given that Triesen was a factory village for much of the
industrial revolution, with a spinning and weaving factory dominating the
village centre, and many of the houses in the village centre, alongside the
main high street having been built as workers houses. The factory still exists,
but is now used for other activities.
The major employer in Triesen is the crystal ornament manufacturers - Swarovski, who have a large operation next to the Rhine.
